Recruiting Registries
These websites provide a database in which players can post
their volleyball biography and coach can search these biographies.
University Athlete (http://www.universityathlete.com)
- This company provides the Palm software that players and parents see college
coaches using to recruit at large tournaments and national qualifiers. The
ability for players to enter a player profile (which they continue to update as
often as they want/need), search for college programs, contact coaches, etc. is
all FREE! There is also the option to add video that can be previewed by
college coaches for a nominal fee (that is good as long as the player is a
recruitable athlete, not a yearly fee). Also, since this information is what
college coaches get in their Palms, it's THE recruiting software utilized by
coaches of all levels (DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, JuCo) across the country. Therefore,
if a player only chooses one place to make their information available (and keep
it current) for recruiting purposes, UA is the place to do it!
RECRUITING REGISTRY (http://www.RecruitingRegistry.com)
- allows you to attract the attention of college recruiters. Entering your club
and high school volleyball experience as well as your educational and personal
information into an online database allows college recruiters to review your bio
to see if you match their needs. Also included on the site is a valuable FAQ
section with very useful hints, tips and links to assist you through your
recruiting experience. Over 5000 student athletes have registered for this site
since its development in 2001, and over 1000 college volleyball recruiters have
registered to view your information.
